Filipino porridge

One of the Philippine’s most comfort food are Filipino porridge, where a lot of Filipino’s love to eat especially on a cold weather and when they are sick. It is best served with tofu and hardboiled egg on the side. There are two types of Filipino porridge, one is called Arrozcaldo (chicken porridge) and Goto (ox strip porridge). In every corner in the Metro, you will find food carts that are selling Filipino porridge along with other Filipino comfort food such as Noodles, pork tofu, fried rice and dumplings. The prices are reasonable and are cheap that is why a lot of Filipino patronize it. Filipino porridge is a version of a Chinese congee. Overtime, Filipinos had mastered their own style and made it into a “comfort food perfection” and a micro-scale business as well, where some had found fortune in this kind of food cart business.
