November 20: Embark on a Culinary Tour this Africa Industrialization Day

Experience the diverse food traditions of a large continent! Every November 20, governments and non-profit organizations in Africa come together to discuss the challenges of industrialization in Africa. A series of events allows for networking and discussion to exchange ideas. This global observance encourages African entities to unite and address economic problems unique to the world's second largest land mass.

Being a large place with many different cultures, Africa also offers a variety of cuisine along with its unique economic and political challenges. Traditions arise from colonial influences as well as locally produced food. North Africa is primarily Middle Eastern in character while the Horn of Africa produces many grain-based dishes with a little spice.
